Mark your calendars for this year's Swim-athon!
Saturday, November 20th, 2010
What is the Swim-a-thon? Annually the Scottsdale Aquatic Club’s (SAC) hosts a fundraiser, the Swim-A-Thon. We do this to raise monies to meet the needs of the club for equipment, training, etc. The Swim-a-Thon involves the entire team, from the Senior 1 Group through the White Group. In the weeks prior to the actual day, SAC swimmers gather pledges in exchange for a commitment to swim 200 laps or 2 hours on the Swim-A-Thon day. Groups compete against each other for Total Pledges as well as prizes for those who are the most successful in their pledges.
As a Non-Profit club, SAC relies on the Swim-A-thon to help provide funds for a successful, enjoyable swimming experience for all swimmers. This is also an event the club provides to help its members raise their fundraising fee for the year.
The Swim-A-Thon is a great team building effort - the day is filled with friendship and fun! With your support, it will be a success. Thank you in advance for helping SAC in its mission to provide a quality aquatics program that teaches and trains all levels of swimmers, emphasizing individual progress, team unity, family participation, and competition at the highest level while having fun and appreciating everything the sport of swimming can bring to a swimmer’s life.
