Parents have a huge role in the success of their
children and Scottsdale Aquatic Club itself.
OUTSIDE THE CLUB
Parents are encouraged to participate in their swimmers'
lifestyles during training and meets:
• Eat right the nights before meets.
• Drink plenty of water and other hydrating drinks whenever needed.
• Pack healthy snacks for after school, after practice and during long meets.
• Do no over-exert before a big swim.
POOL SIDE
Scottsdale Aquatic Club asks that parents let the coaches spend their time on deck paying 100% attention to the swimmers in the water. If you have a question for a coach, catch them before or after practice. We also ask that the coaches be the only adults involved with the swimmers technique and performance.
MEETS
Whether we have a Splash Meet or host a large meet, we are always looking for volunteers to work as officials, timers, concessions, hospitality, runner and many other areas.
MEET CLASSIFICATIONS
Class "C" Meets
Any meets involving only our club and which are only one session in duration. Any meets that are 8 and under only.
Class "B" Meets
Any dual or tri meets with up to two sessions. Any open meets with timed finals with up to three sessions.
Class "A" Meets
Any meets with prelim and final sessions. Any large invitational meets with four or more sessions.
Based on the type of meet, points earned per session may vary for some jobs.
Not all positions are needed at all meets.
