Scottsdale Aquatic
Club (SAC) as a member of USA Swimming, Inc., is a year-round,
competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching
and techniques instruction for all ages and abilities. As
a club, we are dedicated to giving our swimmers the
best opportunity for achieving their potential and
swimming at the highest level of competition. Our
goal is to provide each and every member the best environment
to improve their swimming skills and achieve success. SAC has
been incorporated since 1966 and is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit
organization run by and elected Board of Directors which meets
monthly.
The SAC coaches
have access to the most comprehensive training and certification
program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They
provide assurances that the time children spend in the pool will be
time well spent. The coaches aim to provide the best opportunity
for ALL of our athletes to grow and improve as well as to allow
them to practice in groups with peers that are of the same relative
age, maturity and ability levels. Coaches will place your child in
the most appropriate group when joining the program. SAC wants each
child to feel successful in their practice group and the coaches
will move swimmers to the next level only when they feel the
swimmer is ready to succeed at that next
level.
SAC swimmers
compete in meets that are held locally, within Arizona, Regionally,
Nationally, and Internationally. We are sponsored by the City
of Scottsdale and most SAC practices are conducted at Cactus Pool,
located at the corner of North Scottsdale Road and Cactus
Road. We are glad you have chosen competitive swimming as a
sport and SAC for your child to be a member. We are proud of
our team and each swimmer’s accomplishments. If you
have any questions, feel free to talk with your swimmer’s
coach, the head coach, or a board member.
